I watched “Death Proof” again tonight…

ThaDeej.

Man this is one fun movie.  I love Tarantino’s style.  However, I just feel like the current version on DVD is just a bit long.  It really lingers in places and almost seems to screech to a halt at times.

I’m eagerly awaiting the release of the original presentation of both GRINDHOUSE films as they were originally released theatrically.  Robert Rodriguez assures us on the Planet Terror DVD (10 Minute Film School and Commentary) that this DVD is in the works.  I want those nice guest director GRINDHOUSE trailers.

PS – Stuntman Mike is the coolest punk bitch I can think of in recent cinema.

Greenpoint, Brooklyn

So today I spent my day off visiting a little neighborhood in Brooklyn called Greenpoint.  A few folks at work live there and I’ve heard the occasional remark about Greenpoint.  So, I decided to check it out.

What a great ‘hood!  Seriously, it was midday on a Monday and this little area was totally alive.  People all about, shopping and eating.  Felt like an even more kitschy version of the West Village.  Great little shops, and tons of eats.  I can’t wait to go back an explore more.

In all honesty, I think I’ve found my future new home.

I’ve moved to Tumblr – NO POSTING HERE

You’ve probably noticed things are very quiet here. That’s because I’ve moved over to Tumblr. It’s a much cooler site, and a better representation of who I am. Totally customizable and much cleaner. Neat.
