Cool video test – Letus35 and Redrock on DVX100

I found this video on YouTube and thought it’d serve a great dual purpose:

  1. Showcase the Letus35 and Redrock SLR lens adapters
  2. Test the new video plugin I added to the site

Enjoy!I really dig the grainy almost Soderbergh’s-Traffic-esque effect this filmmaker achieved with the Letus. It’s amazing what a little experimentation and color correction will do!I’m highly considering purchasing this adapter set as it can be had for less than $500!

The M2 Redrock seems MUCH cleaner. It comes in at around $900 for the SLR version. They also have a PL (Cinema Lens) edition for $1600 which is far superior to either of these. However, cinema lenses are FAR from cheap.

And lastly, here’s a nice professional piece with the Redrock mounted to the DVX100A using Canon FL lens. Garrett, you’ll love this one!!

OK, so about this “Letter” clip. What is it? Did you have a hand in creating it? Where was it shot? And my wife and I would like to know the complete story. Who’s the guy? What’s his role? (and nice music choice, if you chose it).
