Well, the decision has been made and it’s time to buy a camera. I’ve settled on the Panasonic HVX200 and I can’t wait until it all becomes a reality. YAY HD!!! This is going to require some real sacrifice and dedication. I mean, I’m just a poor white boy, and we’re talking about a $5300 professional Hi-Def video camera! On paper, it doesn’t work, but God says only He knows the math that can solve this equation.
Meanwhile, I’m liquidating a TON of stuff on eBay. Today is the day I begin compiling a list of the DVDs that I will be selling. I haven’t counted them lately, but last summer I sold 130 on eBay and no one noticed!!
This time though, I’m going all out. I’m even selling some of my precious collectible DVDs and my fabulous Criterion DVDs!! I know, I know! It’s gonna hurt, but it’s time to take on the life I want and these sacrifices will be a major help. Besides, Christian or not, when I die, I can’t keep any of them anyways! Those that know me are probably picking their jaws off the floor right now. My DVD collection has long been atop my most necessary things in life, even above oxygen! But, it’s time to grow!
The meeting this weekend with John Foutz went great. I have decided to keep most of what we discussed rather secretive from the public. However, the one certain thing that came from this meeting was the echoing of my call to this industry. John, as a business owner and video production guru, was most helpful and more than prepared for our meeting. He had even made notes and listed topics for us to discuss. And, as always, John, as a friend, was just a blast to hang out with and talk shop. He even sent me home with a copy of one of his latest films on DVD. Hey, Vanelle, I finally get to see “Guerilla!”
A lot is going on in this crazy, transforming life of mine, and I love the coming of Change! I give all the glory to God, for He has made everything possible for me!!
Keep an eye out, I’ll be putting up a link to my auctions once they are all listed!! DVDs won’t be the only things for sale.
Meanwhile, say a prayer for my strength in all of this. Thank you!
