A cake for Tom.

As you probably know by now, my boy, Tom P, has joined the NewSpring staff as the Worship Leader for our Greenville campus which should be open sometime late this summer.I’m very excited! Tom is going to rock us out in Greenville. Not only that, but he’s going to bring a real passion for Jesus to Greenville…and that is something this city needs.

So, before our Home Group last night, I ran by a couple grocery stores until I finally found a pre-made cake sans balloons or roses. I found that cake at my third stop.

Then, I asked the old man behind the deli counter if anyone was available in the bakery. He answered that he was the only one there. I told him I wanted someone to write something on a cake and he said he would.

However, he insisted that he wasn’t very good at it. I assured him that he would do just fine. I mean, after all, we’re just going to eat it, right?

The result is pictured. It far-exceeded my expectations of awesomeness.

That is a cake with character.

It didn’t taste bad either.

Congrats, Tom. We love you, man!!!

So I have this awesome friend. Kathryn.

Returning to post-Tony-Morgan-link normalcy

As you can see in this image, my blog visitors have returned to a level of normalcy after the day I received a link from Tony Morgan’s site.

It was a fine day. Hundreds of visitors.

People actually leaving comments.

But alas, my fifteen minutes of blog stardom have passed.
