Clayton King recently brought the heat at NewSpring Church in regards to the urgency of reaching people for Christ.
He quoted a great historical figure, and I wanted to lay that quote out here. Feel free to remove the stigma of Jesus (that I already attached with my intro) and simply look at the realistic implications of this quote and how it relates to where you are…and where you want to be.
“The era of procrastination is coming to a close; in its place we are entering a period of consequences.“
The context of this quote is this. Churchill had long warned of the dangers of Germany under the control of Hitler – Germany has now invaded Poland, killing people (predominantly Jewish) by the thousands. No one else saw the threat until it was too late.
Procrastination (read: not doing what you know you should be doing in a timely manner) leads to consequences.
Do you wish to live in a period of consequences? I sure don’t.
